End Size Frustrations For Your Customers Once And For All
We’ve all been there before. You’ve found the perfect item of clothing that you have been searching for forever, only to realize it’s not available in the size you need. What a let down! Don’t let that frustration happen to your customers.
To ensure your store has the sizes you need for your customer’s we’ve expanded the size ranges of some of our most popular products. For some items and sizes we now have sizes up to 5xl!
Get Access To These New Sizes
For any new designs you create the Shopify app will automatically send all available sizes to your store. The app also marks up any sizes that have an additional fee so that your earnings will be the same for each variant. Of course, you can edit your products prices however you see fit within your Shopify store.
For Any existing products that you are selling, you will have to manually create a variant to your product for the new size. Creating a variant manually is simple, but it is important that you populate the correct SKU, so the correct product is fulfilled. Unfortunately, Apliiq cannot be responsible for any mistakes you make in manually editing your SKUs so please, please, please be careful.
How Apliiq dropshipping SKUs work
The Apliiq sku is a unique text string that identifies a specific variant. It is made of 3 parts. Let’s look at a quick example;
APQ-1769321S21A1
- The “APQ-” portion is an identifier that allows us to know to process your order by the Apliiq platform. All Apliiq skus start with this identifier.
- The next portion is the Apliiq saved design id, which is “1769321” in the SKU above.
It is the unique identified of your saved design. This number carries the base garment, color, and all artwork associated. - The last portion of the SKU is “S21A1” which is the size indicator for the sku. If you want to add new size variants to your product in Shopify, this is the part of the SKU you will want to change.

- M – S7A1
- L – S8A1
- Xl – S1A1
- XXl – S2A1
- 3Xl – S21A1
- 4Xl – S61A1
- 5Xl – S62A1
- Continue to offer the same pricing to your customers.
- Increase the price of your variants that have plus sizes to match the new plus size fees.
This will simply pass the plus size fees onto your end customers and keep your profits the same. - Mark up the extra plus size cost so that you are making additional profit on the plus size garments. In many cases, customers are willing to pay a few extra dollars to get a size that will fit them.
How To Understand SKU Sizes
The easiest way to add your plus sizes to an existing product is to copy an existing variant sku for your product and simply update the 3rd portion of the sku to have the size you want. Here are the size breakdowns and sku;
A Quick Example
If we wanted to update the above sku to be for the same product but for size 4xl, it would be APQ-1769321S61A1.
A Quick Note About Existing Products
The only drawback to plus sizes is that in most cases sizes over XL also have an additional fee because of the additional time and material required to construct larger garments. Some existing products you are offering in your store may now have an additional plus size fee which will you will be charged when you place an order. You have a few different options;
