From the throbbing discotecas of Tijuana to the chic tequila bars of San Diego all the way to the suave dance-halls of Los Angeles, Mexico’s passion for life and love is woven into culture, style and way of life. At Apliiq, we celebrate that passion and most importantly, we invite YOU to join us! Check out some of our most recent Mexican inspired fabric finds, all available for you to design your own clothing.
Some nights you just know you are going to go BIG. The motivation varies, an old friend in town you haven’t seen for a while, or potentially twisting off a righteous day with an awesome night. Regardless of inspiration, when you go big, things are going to get messy. There is no better way to play it than embracing that sloppy mess you will become early on. That is where the Tequila Sunrise comes in.
This fabric is loud, borderline obnoxious. But if done right it can be the LIFE of the party. The risk is yours to take, remember the rewards are plentiful.
Some design suggestions when working with Tequila Sunrise;
Base Garment Suggestions: White tank top, need we say more? It is “the garment” for a hot, muggy, dive of a summer night. You also have the opportunity to apply a very rare base garment, the highlighter 50/50 tee. Almost any highlighter color will work with Tequila Sunrise. Be brave!
Patch Selections: Remember this is a “go big” fabric. Big Chest Diamonds, Chest stripes, & Megapockets.

But don’t listen to us, slam that tequila and let your mouse do the designing. You will find the Tequila Sunrise under the Stripes category of fabrics. Stay thirsty my friends!
Pink skulls and crossbones invoke a sexy type of danger. This fabric is a special flavor of seductress that will rock your world and break your heart at the same time. If this fabric were a smell it would be like the faintest whiff of wonderful perfume in a crowded marketplace, but you immediately see the single beauty that it has to belong too, long black hair with dark mysterious eyes. Desire, passion, danger. Cuidado mi amigo…
As you can tell, we love this fabric for womens garments. Ladies it is now time to remind men of “the one that got away.”
Some design suggestions for working with Rosita;
Base garment suggestions: Black racerback dress. The dress shows off your back and shoulders for a casual but intimate appearance. The black really makes Rosita *pop*.
Patch Selections: We like to break up Rosita into little strips, to not make the pattern overly apparent immediately, you don’t want to scare off your prey. The “sash” and “l sash” options are great choices, you can also combine them with a smaller “leg triangle” to bring continuity to the outfit.
But don’t listen to us, show how you can be sexy & dangerous at the same time by designing your own, with our Mexican Fabric, Rosita. Rosita is in the collections section of the customizer.
