Deciding on the right label for your brand is a big decision
But there is no need to feel overwhelmed. We have reviewed the most popular label types and placement options. Here are our recommendations for how to use them most effectively.
#1 Hem Labels
Recommended Size: width 2” – 3” height 1” X 2”
Recommended Shape: Rectangle
Benefits: Prominent placement opportunities on lower right & lower left hemline.
Can also be sewn onto custom snapbacks, custom 5 panels, or sewn directly onto pockets. Highly versatile for placement options and garment types & larger size allows for more detailed artwork.
#2 Neck Labels
Recommended Size: width 2” – 2.5” height: .75” – 1.5”
Recommended Shape: Narrow Rectangle
Benefits: Placment is sewn into the inside neckline of t shirts, hoodies, and jackets. Sign of attention to detail and quality of product. Shows “we care about this”
One downside is that some people find woven labels to be uncomfortable when placed directly on skin
#3 Pocket Labels
Recommended Size: width 1” height .5” – .75”
Recommended Shape: Rectangle
Benefits Fold in half labels provide opportunities for artwork on 2 sides of the label. The best way to brand a pocket tee with visible placement.
#4 Edge Line Labels
Recommended Size: width 1” – 1.5” height: 1” X 1.5”
Recommended shape: Square
Benefit: Placement on collars, sleeve lines, & hemlines. Cool way to add branding in a subtle way, variety of placement opportunities, and garment types supported.
