How To Get That Vintage Aesthetic
Not only is the crewneck sweatshirt a timeless classic, the pigment dyed crewneck takes the vintage aesthetic to a whole different level. The washed out color and feel of the garments definitely makes it feel like your favorite sweatshirt from 10 years ago, that just happens to be brand new. We recommend pairing this garment with embroidery or slightly distressed print artwork to perfect that vintage feel.
What is Pigment Dye?
Pigment dye is a process of adhering color to garments and textiles. Instead of using a chemical process to bind the color directly to the fibers, pigments are inert and don’t directly bind directly to the fibers. This creates a washed out feel to the color. Additionally, since the pigment dye process occurs as a much later phase of the sweatshirt production (once the garment is fully constructed), the pigment doesn’t adhere equally to the garment in all places. So for example around the stitching maybe lighter or darker than other areas of the garment. These fine details are what make the garments so amazing and unique.
